One Whole Year

michael ann made || one whole year

I can hardly believe that I have now been a momma for one whole year (and a month).

There have been ups and downs and all arounds,
and I have to admit that this job is a lot harder than I was expecting.
At night when I collapse on the couch after an exhausting day of baby wrangling
I'm in awe with how much my heart aches with love for my little man,
and how I will do absolutely anything I can to make him happy,
even when I feel like I can't possibly do any more.

But the biggest lesson I am learning from motherhood is the art of Balance.
You cannot continuously give to another if you do not take time to give to yourself.
I learned, and re-learned that quite a few times this year...
Thankfully the little man and I are finding a routine that works well for the both of us.
(It helps quite a bit that he has become so independent as he's begun toddling.)

Through all of this hard work and endless loving,
I have learned that I am capable of much bigger things than I ever thought possible.
And that is so empowering!

So in the spirit of working both hard and smart,
I'm going to dust off this little site of mine
and start carving out some time in my day for crafting, creating and blogging.
It can seem a little silly and superfluous at times,
but the crafty blogging community has been such a large part of my life for so long
and I realize now how important it is for me to spend time doing what I love.

I'm hoping to freshen things up a bit around here
as I try to figure out what I can do realistically and regularly,
so don't be surprised if things look a bit messy for a time ;]

Now let's get back to crafting already!
