live a crafty life

being so busy with work this week was getting me a little down,
so i decided to create a little mantra and put it all around the house.
this one was taped to the back of an old martha stewart frame and lives by the computer,
and the one below is with a paper rosette my mom made right next to my sewing machine.

i had to remind myself why i got into blogging and internet-ing in the first place,
to share with you my efforts to live a crafty life
and to help you all do the same!

and in other exciting news, tomorrow is the portland hello etsy and i'm going!
my dear friend amy and i are going together and i could not be more excited.
if you're going i would love to meet you too, let me know!
and if you don't already, follow me on twitter to see all the exciting things i'm sure i'll be learning.

i hope that you all have a crafty weekend :]

  1. So, I know I just posted on your chalkboard cans, but I got looking through your blog-and I love it! I am your newest follower :)

  2. What a cute idea :) i need to remember this when life gets a little dull!

  3. I think I need to take your idea and copy! It's so hard sometimes to remember this. Also, did you draw that font out? It's awesome!

  4. what a great reminder! it is so easy to get caught up in everything else you have to do and forget about the things you love to do sometimes. thanks for sharing(:

  5. thank you so much guys!

and @jen - i used a font from called bookeyed suzanne. i used it for graduation announcements for my sister in law, and LOVE it! here's the link -
