the gold pleated skirt

i was looking through my photos
and realized i never blogged about
this skirt i made about a year ago.

i made it from a gold sheet from the as-is section of ikea
definitely one of my favorite places to look for fabric.
the fabric is so soft and has a little bit of sheen to it.

i made the pattern up as i went along,
knowing that i wanted large pleats in the front and back
and pockets!
it turned out to be a fairly quick and easy project
and has become one of my favorite things i've ever made.
i certainly wear it more than anything else i've made!

  2. Oh so now she gives in? :) All I know is that you have to request an invite. It took a few days for me to get accepted. I have no idea why they did it that way but I joined when it was Beta. Wow. Now I sound like a hipster.

  3. Wait. Surprise! I sent an e-mail to Ben, the creator of Pinterest because yes, apparently being a hipster pays off.
