Halloween Medallion Quilt Along

Halloween Medallion Quilt Along

Happy October!

I don't know about you, but I've had a Halloween quilt on my "to sew" list
for a good couple years now,
and I've decided THIS is the year that baby is getting made!

But everything is much more fun when you're doing it with friends,
which is why I've schemed up the
Halloween Medallion Quilt Along!

This will be a completely free, super casual, quilt along,
that will hopefully result in a spooky, snuggly quilt just in time for Halloween.
So who's with me!?

The Skeleton Panel from the Chillingsworth fabric line by Andover was my initial inspiration,
isn't he just one dapper fellow?
He is a bit of an awkward size,
which is why I thought a medallion style quilt would be the best fit.
I have seen lots of other great Halloween panels out there though
that I think would be really neat for this quilt.
Could you imagine a whole panel of Tula Pink Nightshade Coven girls?!

The plan is -

For the first three weeks of October, we will work on rows,
with a new block pattern shared on the blog every Monday.
The last week of October can be spent finishing up your quilt
to have it done just in time for Halloween!

The Halloween Medallion pattern will make a 60" x 64" finished size lap quilt,
perfect for festive snuggling.

To start us planning,
I have a free Halloween Medallion Coloring and Planning Sheet
for you to download!

I have written out the yardage required for each row,
including the size requirements for the center panel,
as well as included two blank patterns for you to color in.
You can see above just two of the different ways I have colored it so far
(and as you can imagine, I could spend A LOT of time coloring! Oh the possibilities!)
