works in progress

the list of half finished projects is never ending,
but i thought it would be fun to share with you my works in progress:

i found at the library the book design-it-yourself clothes: patternmaking simplified by cal patch
and have been working on making a little autumn coat.
patternmaking has always been my favorite part about sewing,
but since i haven't done it in so long, boy have i gotten rusty!
this has been a great book to ease myself back into and remind myself of all the little details.

second, i have been having so much fun making friendship bracelets!
all of your comments on the last post and seeing all of your own bracelets have really inspired me :]
the mr and i like to chill out and watch just shows most nights,
and its been nice to have something to do with my hands.

and lastly, i feel like its time for yet another blog-layout-redesign.
i have some fun ideas i'm hoping to put into action this weekend,
so if you stop by and the site looks like a big mess... that's why :]

i hope you all have a fabulous weekend,
any fun projects you're hoping to accomplish?
and, thank you readers both new and old for all your comments and support,
really its you guys that make this whole blogging thing fun :]

  1. Ah! I have this book. I'm always too intimidated to make my own clothes, I don't really know the first thing about it. I can mend and hem but other than I haven't attempted anything. I'd love to see how your project turns out, it might give me some courage to try one of them!
